BLUE DRAGONS DROP CLOSE ONE TO BERLIN 4-3
The Blue Dragons played 6 great innings of baseball but it wasn’t enough as Berlin scored all their runs in the 3rd inning in a 4-3 loss. Middletown took a 2-0 lead in the 2nd on Andrew Mierzejewski’s 2 run double. But Berlin answered sending 9 batters to the plate in the 3rd scoring 4 runs on 4 hits, 1 walk and an error which led to an unearned run. Middletown tacked on a run in the 5th on a Josh Strohm sac fly but the Dragons left the tying run on 2nd. Carlos Ruiz came in to pitch 3 perfect innings, keeping MHS in the game but they went quietly without a threat dropping to 3-2 on the season.
