The Blue Dragons rode the back of Carlos Ruiz who pitched a complete game in a 4-2 win over Valley Regional. 6 pitchers had already seen action this week as Middletown was playing its 4th game in 5 days. Valley took a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning but the Dragons scored 3 times in the 3rd, the go ahead run scoring on Jason Sinagra’s double. Valley scored another run in the 4th but Ruiz shut them down the rest of the way, also adding an insurance run on an RBI single in the 6th to help his cause. 14 Warrior’s reached base but Ruiz stranded 12 of them with 13 fly ball outs. MHS improves to 4-3.
