BLUE DRAGONS ROMP OVER VINAL TECH 14-1
The Blue Dragons are off to a 2-0 start after a solid 14-1 victory over Vinal Tech (0-2) Friday afternoon. It was a complete effort for MHS, combining solid pitching, good defense and plenty of offense.

Starting pitcher Zack Zbinden made his first varsity appearance and the junior went five strong innings with four strikeouts while only giving up one run. Carlose Ruiz and Jose Lopez held Vinal scoreless in the six and seventh innings respectively.

Offensively, MHS received contributions throughout the lineup (11 hits), scoring in six of the seven innings. Again Josh Strohm led the way, going 3-for-3 including a monster triple and catcher Travis Grabowski was 3-for-4 with a standup double.

Defensively, the Dragons did not allow an error in the game.

Up next for MHS is a road game at Farmington Monday afternoon.
