Big Thanks to 
| The major project undertaken by The Friends of Baseball for 2007 is now complete. The batting cages at Pat Kidney Field are now ready for use by the Middletown Blue Dragon baseball team. But this project also will benefit the Ahern-Whalen, American Legion and Fall Ball programs along with many others. These two batting cages double the number available to the baseball programs of Middletown. There are too many people to thank here for the completion of this project, but scroll down to read the names and see the project from start to finish. |

| Time to finish the Cages !!!! April, 2007 After numerous problems --- mismatched parts, the biggest Nor'easter in April memory, swampy land, dwindling funds -- two guys came to the rescue. Mike Aronne and Bob Stachura put in yeoman's work -- solving each problem as it arose. Their efforts will be culminated this week when the nets are raised and the batting cages are finally finished. Can't thank you guys enough for your superhuman efforts !!! |

Time to put up the Cages !!!! March 10, 2007 The temperature went over 40 degrees and while the team was doing Campus Clean-Up, a bunch of volunteers started erecting the batting cages ... until a mis-matched part halted the proceedings.

Park And Rec Covers the Bases !!!! December 2006 The site work is now complete. The batting cages are in storage and will be erected when springtime rolls around. But the job isn't finished yet - funds still need to be raised for the pitching machines. Special thanks to Park & Rec for the stone dust and Bob Stachura for the pipe caps. |
